“Felix wasn’t a good character because he gave little girls the message they can change boys”

You know what’s not okay? To give little girls the message that a guy has to be perfect and kind 24/7 to be worthy of love. You know what’s a bad message for little boys? That they aren’t allowed to have flaws and make mistakes if they want to be loved and have to be okay with everything the girl does, even if that makes them feel uncomfortable. You know what’s a bad message for all little children? That they aren’t allowed to have bad days where they simply want to be left alone and are angry, that they must behave good all the time to be considered as good people, otherwise an evil butterfly will appear and make them do bad things. You know what’s even more horrible? That the only negative emotion they are allowed to have is sadness without having to worry they will become “bad”, but not anger.

Felix wasn’t a bad message to little girls because he showed that a human being has good and bad sides, and that no one is perfect, which is okay because that does not mean someone is a bad person.
The bad message are the people who treat the negative emotions he showed as “abnormal” and reduced him to a jerk even though Bridgette was the one who made him uncomfortable and the only reason he wanted a kiss was to get rid off his bad luck (which would otherwise follow him for the rest of his life), not because he had fun playing with her feelings.
