Okay so maybe this is a crack post but I’ve been thinking of Ichihime you don’t say and the fact that I think Kubo showed us different versions of their love story in the manga . 

Of course there is the 5 lifetimes speech which obviously refers to orihime loving ichigo in other lifetimes but I think there is also other stuff . 

1 .   Ichigo and Orihime in the pilot . 

So we know the pilot is kinda an alternate version of Bleach where the characters are mainly the same but the story is a little different . 

This could be the first lifetime . In this version they obviously have a crush on the other but at the end since orihime dies ichigo lets her go without telling her anything . But it’s implied that ichigo would have met her again in Soul society when he would have gone to save rukia . This could be the first alternate lifetime they fall in love in . 

2 . The Tanabata Lovers 

Not just because of orihime’s name but because of a myriad of tiny little clues indicating that Orihime and Ichigo are meant to symbolize the tanabata lovers . 

This post will explain it to you far better than I can .

3. Kaien and Miyako 

Aside from the fact that Kaien’s character design is basically just ichigo with black hair and thicker eyelashes there has been several times where Ichigo was compared to Kaien to the point a very popular fan theory was that ichigo is actually Kaien’s reincarnation . Ichigo had indeed been likened to Kaien . 

So yes Ichigo and Kaien are alike but there is also similarities between Orihime and Miyako . We do not have a lot of informations about her except what we’ve been told by Rukia . That she was wise and kind and beautiful . Remind you of someone ? 

And you see this hairdo . Guess who had a similar one during the Soul Society arc ? 

DAMN RIGHT . 

Also it is important to point out that in all of those 3 lifetimes they end up being separated by death for the pilot and Kaien and Miyako and by the distance between the earth and the sky in the tanabata legend . 

4. Bleach’s canon . 

The only time they get to be together and stay together and live happy together . It seems like in this lifetimes they broke the fate that condemned them to a tragic love story . They did it . They can both live together as a family now and have a wonderful son ( and many many more other children to come ) . 

In this lifetime they get to be happy and carefree get the happiness they deserved 

I know there is only 4 lifetimes and it would have been super awesome to have 5 but maybe I’m missing something . Anyway it’s so amazing to know that in each and every lifetime they get to live those two would find each other , would choose each other .

Ichigo and Orihime are the starcrossed lovers of Bleach . 

Ichigo and Orihime are soul mates .
