Funny thing that you think that Sakura would actually be happy with Lee. While I don’t deny that he shows plenty of interest in her, i can’t see Sakura ever being with him, or anyone other than Sasuke for this matter. You know why? Because, like she so well puted on the only REAL CONFESSION that she ever uttered, she loves him with all of her heart. And for what was shown in all the recents chapters, this shit won’t change. How will she ever be happy with someone else when she’s in love with Sasuke? 

But yes, you’re right, Sasuke is an asshole with her. But you know what? Sasuke is an asshole with EVERYBODY, BECAUSE THAT’S HOW HE IS! While I don’t agree with the way he been treating her - and the rest of team seven for that matter -, i also know that’s not how he truly feels. Jesus, even Naruto knows this. Because Sasuke cares, deep down, and this also will not change. But you know what can and WILL CHANGE? The form that he deals with this deep affection for his precious people - category in which Sakura is, btw - and this is called CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. He needs this to build any relationship, especially the romantic ones. But that’s okay, Sakura needs it too, and also Naruto, because a huge part of this damn manga is about personal grown.

But them you can say, ‘well, this doesn’t change the fact that sasusaku will never be canon, because they are not good for each other’. Well, i can’t say if they will be canon, but mind I remind you that those two, together,  got a bond who’s been borderline romantic since, pretty much, ever, and not only on Sakura’s part, but also Sasuke’s, even if he’s affections are more muted - Sasuke’s side is more visible on the classic, but still. While Sasuke and Naruto do have a more strong bond right now, it’s been pretty obvious and reinstated in the manga that this bond is one of BROTHERSHIP - dude they are even the reincarnations of brothers, PLEASE -. They development, for me, only will mature on THAT POINT, while a relationship between Sasuke and Sakura can bring way much more for both of them. Sakura’s kindness, light, pacience and unwavering love have always been an anchor to Sasuke, just like Sasuke’s been the reason why she strived to become stronger, more mature and to grow as a person and as shinobi. Following a writer’s view, this is promissor.

Sasuke may not love her right now, but he could, because Sakura is exactly the kind of person that could hold him together and make him go on. But they need to grow, to mend their bond, to work for the future, and this takes time and a proper enviroment. I don’t know about you, but a battlefield seems kind of stressing for this kind of thing.

They may or may not happen, and that’s ok, because all i want is for them to be happy, but i also have my right to ship what I want without someone pointing fingers and saying things, so yeah.
