I headcannon that deku likes Ochako but doesn't realize it cause he has zero experience with girls or crushes, and he's distracted with training. So his crush comes out in funny ways. Ida asks to borrow hiss notebook one day to see what he wrote down about his quirk and finds that the entry for Ochako is 6 times longer than the others. deku says 'I write down what I think is important' about their hero characteristics which for Ochako includes a funny joke she told him her favorite movie, ect.
