   “I told you. It’s not gonna work.”

   The girl frowned. Her patience was running out and she was getting nervous.

   “But Zenny, I’m…”

   “Stop it already, please” he said, running his fingers through his hair. He was a bit annoyed at this point, but more than that, clearly tired from her nagging.

   “How can you reject me like this…? I told you, I could do anything, I could give you a part in any performance you wish, I have a power to-”

   “It doesn’t matter to me, Echo Girl. I’m really… glad that you like me, but please, leave. I don’t want to be with you.”

   He stepped in her direction, wanting to make her back away from his house. But she didn’t budge, her eyes filling with anger.

   “You have no right to refuse my feelings. I will destroy you, destroy you…!” She, without thinking, stormed past him, taking a vase standing on a counter. Before he could realize, the vase was thrown at him and it was a miracle that he dodged it in the last second, the porcelain thing breaking into pieces on the wall behind him.

   “H-hey, are you mad?!” 

   She didn’t say a word, taking another object and jumping onto him with it like an enraged animal. 

   But he didn’t mean to let her hurt him, as much as he didn’t want to hurt her too. He grabbed the hem of her dress, trying to push her aside. By accident though, he grabbed also a few strands of her hair.

   What happened next, what the most unexpected.

   The hair was pulled off her head, along with the realistic mask covering her face. 

   Everything stopped as Zen stared at her in disbelief.

   At him, to be exact.

   “I… I know you” Zen mumbled, backing away. “You’re… that jerk’s driver, aren’t you?”

   The man frowned, glaring at him. 

   “That’s it. Our plan failed” he stated coldly. “We will have to do it another way.”

   In his hand, there shimmered a syringe. He must have hid it in the dress’ folds, but now it was prepared to be used on the aghast actor.

   Zen had no chance to win this fight. A few seconds after the syringe pierced his neck, his body fell limp to the ground.

   “One day, you’ll return my feelings, Zenny.”
